Verify the opportunity
Look up the employer using a source independent of the message, call a published company number and ask whether the recruiter and vacancy are genuine. Search for the role on the company’s official career page and compare the location, duties and contact details.
Before sharing a Social Security number, bank details or full licence image, ask why it is required, how it will be protected and whether you are at the normal stage for that information.
