Yard Dog Driver Warehouse 1st shift

We are looking for a Yard Dog Driver Warehouse 1st shift on behalf of our client in Elk City, OK.

Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, dock areas, and designated locations. This includes staging trailers for loading/unloading, performing yard checks, and ensuring accurate trailer placement to support plant and warehouse operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Description Operate a yard truck (yard dog/terminal tractor) to move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and designated yard locations in a safe and efficient manner. Perform trailer spotting, docking, and re-positioning to support shipping and production schedules. Conduct routine yard checks to verify trailer locations, seal integrity, and trailer readiness; report discrepancies to supervisor. Inspect trailers and yard truck before and after use; report maintenance or safety issues immediately. Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to coordinate trailer movements and priorities. Ensure trailers are properly secured (chocked, locked, and sealed where applicable) and in correct dock positions. Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, yard inventory, and activity logs using company systems (e.g., SAP, Excel). Assist with loading/unloading operations when needed, including use of forklifts or pallet jacks. Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations (if applicable), and yard traffic rules. Maintain cleanliness and organization of yard areas to ensure safe operations. Other duties as assigned.
