What You’ll Do: • Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings • Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations • Maintain focus on safe driving at all times • Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment • Complete required driving logs and documentation • Report resident changes in condition • Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards • Assist with activities when not driving
You play a critical role in resident safety, reliability, and positive community experiences.
What We’re Looking For: • HS Diploma/GED; age 21+ • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record • CPR certification (as required) • Strong communication and time management skills • Ability to remain calm in emergencies • Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices

This Driver opening is based in New York, IA. The exact lane and schedule depend on the employer, but the role is built around safe, dependable driving and clear communication throughout each assignment.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks and keep required records accurate
- Meet pickup and delivery expectations while communicating delays early
- Share whether you prefer local, regional, dedicated or OTR work so the recruiter can assess the fit
